Who is watching who?
That is the question in The Bird Watchers.
The traditional notion of 'birdwatching' (one word) positions the bird in a passive role, submitting to the gaze of a human. This series of photos of toy birds, and other objects of mass production, explores the other perspective; the birds are watched and they themselves watch and express a voice.
